If there’s one lesson fast and furious has taught me, it’s the idea of living by a personal code. A personal code is the philosophy one has about life and how the person wants to live it. The person determines what defines them, the values they hold in high regard and want to achieve as well as what they will base their decisions on.
Dominic Torretto lives by a code, which would be family and well loyalty to family. It then dawned on me that whether consciously or subconsciously human beings do live by a code and then I decided to do some research, which led to creating my own personal code. Peace. Now this peace I want to attain is absolutely up to me to define and so I defined it as calmness and satisfaction that I will attain by achieving the goals I set up for myself, having faith in Allah and having a positive relationship with both myself and people around me, additionally, I came up with sub codes that will enable me live by my main code. I believe it is very important to have a code to live by so that you do not lose yourself, which is something that is easy to do as you grow up and redefine who you are as you encounter experiences. It also gives a sense of maturity and responsibility as you know and fight for what you believe in and act/speak appropriately. Personally part of my sub codes are loyalty, honesty, trustworthiness and faith and in order for these attributes to be associated with me, I have to be dedicated to living by my code and so what I did was write it down so that whenever I am faced with any adversity, I go back to my code and know that I have a purpose in this life and by following this I will not only meet it in the end but grow into the woman that can accomplish it.
