My Summer Essentials

Summer essentials are those must haves that one cannot do without or might need to get better. So, here are mine!

Skin

I recently visited the body shop in hopes of finding a facial kit that I can use and I settled for the Vitamin C set- the face peel, scrub and moisturiser. I also started using the Garnier soothing botanical toner and I have been seeing good results ever since as now my face is actually brighter and clearer. For the lips, a vaseline lip balm is a must as nobody should be caught dead with chapped lips and also, it is small and practical. However, the real deal is water as no amount of product can really work 100% for the skin except water assists the cleansing process so drink water people.

Clothes

First thing to mention is florals! Its florals season and so this fashion staple will definitely be a summer essential for me. I also have three clothing items that are the most important for me this summer and they are a good pair of light blue jeans, wide leg breezy pants and a good colourful neck scarf to pull a simple t-shirt outfit together.​

Books

Now it won’t be summer without self-development and so this means book! Here are a few I will be exploring.The rules of work, the subtle art of not giving a fuck, working on a dream, reclaim your heart and the five love languages.​

Accessories

Sunglasses-I never used to like sunglasses as they made my face feel a bit uncomfortable but I realised that I needed it to protect my eyes! however, another reason sunglasses are a must for me is because my fashion icon, Victoria Beckham, always wears a good pair of sunglasses and it not only takes an outfit to a bomb chic level but also helps exude confidence.​

Watch-This is an essential! Now I don’t believe anybody really turns to the watch to tell time anymore, especially when their phones are available, however it is still good to have a classic piece of jewellery on your hand.​

ToteBag-Big tote bags are extremely practical and I use them especially when I am travelling back home to Nigeria from school. This is because I can put literally everything in my hand bag. From my laptop, to a book and so I must say that this is a summer essential as people travel and move around a lot during this holiday​.

Sandals-Again practical! They are beautiful, stylish and easy to run around in and also, they add an edgy chicness to a casual look.​
